Solving Humidity Calibration Challenges In Today's Metrology Lab

This paper was presented by Mr. Jeff Bennewitz in the Humidity Session at the NCSL 2003 International Workshop & Symposium, in Tampa Florida.

NCSL published a Recommended Practice for the two-pressure, two-temperature humidity generator

This document describes a Recommended Practice for Intrinsic/Derived Standards (RISP-5) on the two-pressure, two-temperature humidity generator.

Model 1200 Uncertainty Analysis

This document describes a complete uncertainty analysis of the Model 1200 in accordance with NIST Technical Note 1297. Each error source is identified, quantified, and combined to form an expanded uncertainty using a coverage factor, k=2, at an approximate level of confidence of 95%.

Model 2500 Uncertainty Analysis

This document describes a complete uncertainty analysis of the Model 2500 in accordance with NIST Technical Note 1297. Each error source is identified, quantified, and combined to form an expanded uncertainty using a coverage factor, k=2, at an approximate level of confidence of 95%.

Model 2900 Uncertainty Analysis

This document describes a complete uncertainty analysis of the Model 2900 in accordance with NIST Technical Note 1297. Each error source is identified, quantified, and combined to form an expanded uncertainty using a coverage factor, k=2, at an approximate level of confidence of 95%.

Model 3900 Uncertainty Analysis

This document describes a complete uncertainty analysis of the Model 3900 in accordance with NIST Technical Note 1297. Each error source is identified, quantified, and combined to form an expanded uncertainty using a coverage factor, k=2, at an approximate level of confidence of 95%.

Model 3920 Uncertainty Analysis

This document describes a complete uncertainty analysis of the Model 3920 in accordance with NIST Technical Note 1297. Each error source is identified, quantified, and combined to form an expanded uncertainty using a coverage factor, k=2, at an approximate level of confidence of 95%.

Model 9500 Uncertainty Analysis

This document describes a complete uncertainty analysis of the Model 9500 in accordance with NIST Technical Note 1297. Each error source is identified, quantified, and combined to form an expanded uncertainty using a coverage factor, k=2, at an approximate level of confidence of 95%.

ITS-90 Formulations

ITS-90 formulas have been developed for vapor pressure, dew/frost point temperatures, and enhancement factors. These formulas are published in the proceedings of the Third International Symposium on Humidity and Moisture, was held in April 1998 at the National Physical Laboratory in the United Kingdom. The vapor pressure and enhancement formulas were developed by conversion of internationally recognized IPTS-68 equations to the ITS-90 temperature data. Formulas for dew and frost point temperatures were then developed to allow easy transition between vapor pressure and the corresponding temperature. All of the formulas mentioned are contained within the following document.
